In the midst of a busy work schedule, to enhance understanding and collaboration among team members while allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, our company organized a special team-building activity—a one-day trip to Yixing, known as the "Capital of Purple Clay." This event not only allowed us to appreciate the unique cultural heritage and picturesque natural scenery of the area but also strengthened the connections between colleagues through a series of team-building games.
Setting Out in the Morning, Hiking the Scenic Mini Great Wall
In the early morning, as the sun bathed the earth in light, we gathered at the company, filled with anticipation, and set off on our journey to Yixing. Upon arriving at our destination, we first made our way to a scenic hiking trail known as the Mini Great Wall. Walking along the winding path, everyone breathed deeply of the fresh air while enjoying the beautiful scenery along the route, feeling the charm of nature. This hike was not only a test of physical strength but also a cleansing experience for the soul, allowing each participant to temporarily forget the pressures of work and immerse themselves in the tranquility and harmony of the surroundings.
Enjoying a Delicious Farmhouse Lunch
After the morning's hiking activities, everyone, carrying a touch of fatigue but much more excitement, came to a traditional farmhouse for lunch. The food here is authentic and brimming with a rustic charm; each dish is meticulously prepared by the chef, leaving an unforgettable taste. As we sat together enjoying the feast, colleagues also deepened their interactions with one another, laughter echoing throughout the entire restaurant.
Game Time at Longbeishan Forest Park
In the afternoon, our itinerary took us to Longbeishan Forest Park. Surrounded by lush trees and blessed with a serene environment, this park is an ideal place for outdoor activities. Under the guidance of professional instructors, we divided into several teams and embarked on a series of tense yet enjoyable team games. These games required everyone to work together in unity to complete them, filled with laughter and intense competition. Whether it was a challenge to intelligence or a test of physical strength, each segment highlighted the importance of teamwork, and deepened everyone's understanding of the power of communication and trust.
Exploring the Dongpo Academy and Shushan Ancient South Street
As the sun began to set, we concluded our activities in the park and headed for the Dongpo Academy and the historically rich Shushan Ancient South Street. Strolling down this street filled with stories, it felt as if we had traveled back in time to ancient days. After visiting the Dongpo Academy, we gained a deeper understanding of the cultural legacy left by Su Shi, the renowned Song Dynasty litterateur, which evoked a sense of reverence. On Ancient South Street, the array of handicraft shops and specialty snack stalls captivated everyone's attention, adding a unique hue to our journey.
Returning Home Laden with Memories
As night fell, with a tinge of reluctance, we embarked on our return journey. Although the trip lasted only one day, this excursion to Yixing has left us with unforgettable memories. Through this team-building activity, we have not only collected precious recollections but, more importantly, deepened the emotional bonds among team members, infusing new vigor into our future work.
